[today's post for yesterday]

went down to buy some snacks for myself and Urban boy
and it only started drizzling while i just stepped out of my block
(plus i didnt have any umbrella)
Thank God that it didnt rain all while i was out , bt only when i came back.

Thank God that on the way back home
a huge tree branch"thumped" and fell just 2 steps ahead of me.
What if i had been a few steps faster?

and eeeee... isnt that nice :(
definitely a show for males
and the bulging abs so fake!
okay la, the guys indeed have abs( plus i am an abs person.bf must haf abs!=x ), but they applied dark makeup between the packs to make them stand out!
eee...so fake. haha.
and there were alot of " sure anottt?"s i said.
i felt that the whole show was a little exaggerated luh.
i felt that they should follow the real life happenings and all, as close as possible.
So there were really Rhinos that huge?
and monsters meh?
the 300 soldiers really wore that little like only a trunk and a cape, while their enemies were in full armour?

At the scene were the Spartan King was giving an inspirational speech to his fellow soldiers,

I just watched the American Idol-Idol gives back programme.aww, okay, i was touched.The part where the choirgroup, made up of cute african boys( i think the oldest 7 years old) sang backup for Josh Groban and his You Raise Me Up. was too touching!ahahs.and the final group between Josh Groban and the boys. was really, awwww~

The whole Idol Gives Back programme schedule felt like some ministry seminar.
People getting saved , touching images , hymnic music with choir and powerful lead singers.
Felt like a sermon at City Harvest. =X

anws, the producers were smart .The way they planned the programme sequence, making it flow really smoothly and letting the audiences/viewers leave with stirred hearts.

Brother was asking me why dont i try for to look for some admin part time job when i told him i wanna do waitressing or be a barista that sorta thing for a part time job.

So i was telling him, "why must i work FOR money and be a lackey for moo-lahs(money)?. Right at this age, i just wanna enjoy working and money would be secondary la..."

Anw, i think its inevitable that people's mood , character , sense of humour and everything changes with the surrounding.

you'll inevitably be happier (and thus smile more) with a higher paid job,
you'll inevitably be more patient when you're working in a childcare center,
you'll inevitably be more "ang moh " if you're hanging out with a more "ang moh " group,(ahem, yesyes, with respect to my secondary school days.*u know, all the manicure and pedicure, the stayovers and all that*)
you'll inevitably be more " cheena " when you're hanging out with a more "cheena"( in a good sense; more chinese) clique.(ahem yes~. with respect to my one year in poly. totally changed me - make my english worse haha)

the evidence is so significant! we grow up along with what makes us that way.We grow to be like our surrounding.

Take my two aunties for example:-
Auntie Cheryl - more ang moh, because she was under English education and was in english-majored school.

Auntie Grace - half cheena half ang moh , because she was under chinese education at primary school bt then went overseas for studies so english was also good.

Yesyes. i was like agreeing profusely ! She told me about what i wrote above. " from ang moh sch so more ang moh" " from cheena sch so more cheena" about her and Auntie Cheryl.

summing up, my reason for today's post is for clarification's sake.
i dont like misconceptions abt me.
especially when people say i should try to be myself (okay, onli 1 person told me that =x )
BUT, 1 misconception is enough for me.

I believe in being myself all along, so i dont understand why that person sees that im nt being myself.
Do i have to explain everything t everyone? tiring you know.

Every family is reallly the same.( at some points la, bt generally)
this is what i've learnt today.

every child goes through puberty stage, and they evitably start to change.
So i think every parent should learn to understand that change is neccessary during stages of puberty- nt only physically and also mentally.
(I have the psychology book to back me up! :) - which states that kids change. and will change. so parents should try to understand and not treat them like babies. this is wht ive learnt. will talk more abt ive learnt frm the psychology bk the nxt time i blog! :D )

So there's nth to be embarrassed abt.

When my brother was saying :"trust me, amanda, you wont improve much also. Cos,you cant hlp bt wanna play /you'll have no motivation to study when everyone's already in poly."

He meant it well, generally, and not referring to me.

As in its he meant that its quite hard for general teens to improve much for their 2nd 'O' lvl exam.

hi ya 'll!

been out for dinner and then a walk at AMK hub with daddy and mummy.

Just 3 of us! without urban boy. HAHA!

i cant wait to drive man, cos sitting in the car my mum drives makes me have headache.

her driving stinks.

and i have to instruct her like :" okay! brake brake! brake now! dont last minute brake."
my mum's so fond of last minute braking which makes me jerk out from my sit LOR.

haha.

and she park the car can take FOREVER.(even though she's been driving for 8 yrs. 8
yrs!)

and again, i have to instruct her like :" okay, keep your wheel straight! reverse
summore,turn your wheel more, straight agn " so that she doesnt have to go in and out

Then, after our Vivo walk was a trip to Yuping's house for FUNN! bt thn two guys from their citibank roadshow booth came over and wasted an hours of our life! lol. me and Yuping just couldnt say no, so we stayed there hearing them talk abt student's plan.One of them was trying ta act funny with corny jokes, and the other was quite handsome bt quiet(and dorts.. he wanted to hi-5 with me twice when i have sweaty palms-bcos he was from visual comm(what im gonna take if im going to NAFA)).

And the not handsome one(oops.im being realistic haha!) was cunning lor! he passed me one contract thingy and acted so normal like that contract was just a plain sheet and totally in a relaxed state asked me to sign it , like it was no problem.

in the midst of our conversation ,takes the contract , places it on the table and says "hmm, why not you just sign this first lor ,okay? "(And remember he acts like my signature wasnt for the contract and i would not have to pay 72.45 dollars per month)

hello? think we 4 yr old kid ah? all of a sudden bring me a sheet of paper, never tell me what is it then ask me to sign.Me and yuping were totally stunned and i was like "HUHH???! what is this? a contract? YOU WANT ME TO SIGN NOW?"

and blabla...long story .hahahs.

bt in the end, we managed to escape their clutches(lol.im exaggerating alil here) with umpteen times of :" i'll go home and consider luh . kay." really umpteen times. i think i said for like 5 times . or maybe more.

Finally at Yuping's home.became her model for the night. posing with her bags and all for her in-vogue ,blogspot.

School's starting on mon for poly students alrready.

hurhur.kinda weird not being a Poly student .
BUT i know that i cant turn back time, and i know if im still doing IT in school now, i'll be slogging my nights out doing project work and squeezing my brain on how to work out those question. I've had enough of "squeezing brain juices out " until the wee hours of the morning(like 9am) and gathering with project partners at friend's place to slog and solve "Console.WriteLine" (i prefer calling it this)

Although staying late to do project work at friend's place was fun, ( crapping and chatting),
I cant cope la.

I hope, NAFA or Laselle will be good for me .
and i pray that , it is really for me.

I hope what You say about me is right and i dont wanna doubt . Will i be disappointed after 3/4 years? i dont want to. Will You?

I was saying that it is not , and i could hear her saying behind the phone that it is.

(i was toking to another auntie btw)

hello! the ingredients for the cake costed like 40bucks! and you said mouldy!

i spent like 2 days baking that cake without lunch and dinner and you say there's mould.i say there's no mould means there's no mould.

those are not mould! those are oxidised whipped cream !

whipped cream, are made by whipping white cream consistently till it gets fluffy,

so obviously, there's air in the cream. (if not how you get fluffy white cream!)

and after the whipped cream is out of the spray can ,

it of course starts to melt after a few seconds.

when you drink starbucks ice blend or coffeebean ice blend, you think the whipped cream

topping stays solid for a few hours MEH?

NO la.

its WHIPPED CREAM and not ICING SUGAR frosting.

thank you ah. mould. hah!

PLUS, that cake is an expensive cake with lots of LOVVEEE.(spent 40bucks for the ingredients kae!-heartpain ; 6bucks strawberries)

making cake from scratch. super mah fan! alot of procedures.

my cake was too spongy and soft that it cracked. It ended up soaking up all the choc sauce i spread on it and became "nuah".

THIS ! THIS BOX OF CHOC IS CRAZY! one box for 8bucks. and not alot. the choc in the picture looks big, but actually they're not.

this tiny cup of sour cream costs 5bucks+. even yogurt with fruit in it dont cost so much. xP

anw. my family and I, me!me! thinks the cake is good. just that the cake absorbed too much sauce that its not that spongy alrdy .anyhows, it tastes like how a cake should okay! lol.

I was actually quite disappointed cos the cake was like totally melting and "nuah"ing.. it didnt exactly look good. Maybe not as nice as i thought it would look la. It was partly cos the choc sauce was too liquidy( i added whipping cream - not whipped cream, which the recipe did not say i have too.) Plus, the cake was too spongy soft that it absorbed all the choc frosting.HURHUR. But at least it tastes delectable! =DDDDD =))))

The Orca (Orcinus orca) is the largest member of the dolphin family (order Cetacea, subfamily Delphinidae) and a versatile predator. It is also known as a Killer Whale or Great Killer Whale, even though it is not a whale. The Killer Whale name is actually a corruption of the older Killer of Whales?the species is known to prey on juvenile and small cetaceans. Another term for the animal is Grampus. "Orca" is a latin word meaning both whale and demon. The word is the origin of orc, a legendary monster.

The animals are distinctively marked, with a black back, white chest and sides and a white patch above and behind the eye. They have a heavy and stocky body and a large dorsal fin. Males can be up to 9.5 metres long (a little over 31 feet) and weigh as much as 10 tons; females are smaller, reaching 8.5 metres (about 28 feet) at most and a weight of 7 or 8 tons. Calves at birth weight about 180 kg and are about 2.4 metres long (about 8 feet). At about 1.8m (about 6 feet), the dorsal fin of the male is taller than the female's, and more upright. From a distance, females and juveniles can be confused with various dolphin and porpoise species.

An Orca's diet depends entirely on availability, although pods can specialize and thus ignore potential prey. It is believed they require around 60kg of food daily. Their prey includes twenty species of cetaceans, five species of pinniped (seals), thirty species of fish (particularly salmon), seven species of bird and two species of squid, in addition to a variety of other sea creatures, occasionally including larger whales such as Fin Whales, Minke Whales, Gray Whales, or even young Blue Whales. Orcas even hunt and kill Great White Sharks for their nutrient-rich livers and to eliminate competitors for food. It is from their attacks on whales that they gained their name; they do not attack humans.

Orcas have one of the most sophisticated ultrasonic sounds of all animals who use this method of communication. Not only do they have regional "dialects", which produce slight variations in sound depending on their geographical distribution but each animal has two distinct 'callsigns'. One which distinguishes them as an individual and another that identifies the pod they belong to.

Orca has been targeted in commercial whaling, but catches are now insignificant. In the 1950s the U.S. Air Force, at the request of the Icelandic government used bombers and riflemen to slaughter orcas in Icelandic waters because they compete with humans for fish. In recent years, the Orca's intelligence, trainability, striking appearance, playfulness in captivity and its sheer size have made it a popular public aquarium or zoo attraction. Fishermen separate a young orca whale (Willy) from his parents and he ends up in a fish bowl at a marina. Meanwhile, a street kid runs afoul of the law and gets caught vandalising the marina, but his social worker gets him off the hook (so to speak) provided he cleans up his mess at the marina. While there, he befriends the whale and teaches him tricks, something the trainer hasn't been able to do. But when Willy is a dud in front of the audience, the marina owner plans some bad things, and the boy and his friends must try to (*** MAJOR SPOILERS ***) free Willy.

I was reading Today and it stated about serious global warming that is happening right even this instant.
In fact, almost every newspaper and tv has it.
Just that, there seems to be more frequent reports about it than in the past.

I remembered talking about global warming at a post, last year or something.

Anw, Im trying to say that things are getting more perplexed now.
First, global warming.
Now, global DIMMING ??

And, global warming dimming and global warming are both harmful opposites!

1) We have to thank pollutants in a way, becos they protect us from global warming.
2)Because, too many pollutants in the air causes a reduction of sunlight getting through the atmosphere(globa dimming), there'll be less photosynthesis and will affect the foodchain.

dilemma dilemma...

now, i also dunno what to say.
to have more air pollution or to not and let the icebergs slowly melt and drown us all. ?

hmmms...wait.
maybe we can clear the air of those pollutants(although they help in preventing global warming, they affect our health also okay) and then stop/try to invent things that does nt emit CFC.

I woke up today remembering my dream!(actually, i often remember it la. haha)

The people in my dream consists of Shao, Audrey,Russell, Andrew and the rest (didnt really see the faces)
oh! and Jade Seah.hahas.
We were all in a coffeeshop

So, it goes like that,
Jade Seah was doing a food show at this coffeeshop(i actually remembered. the coffeeshop is true in real life, somewhere a jalan kayu. i forgot which one) and she was interviewing this indian man about he's food and stuff.

Then, the indian man introduced this really yummy ice cream. special ice cream formula that was passed down from generation to generation.(i remember in my dream, the ice cream felt like it was super delicious.)

like so :

Jade Seah, was standing beside the uncle, so she took the ice cream and gave it a BIG lick.
MAN! the ice cream was super tantalizing.
i was like staring at it, and then salivating at the same time.

Then, from my table (which sat Me, Shao and audrey) , i walked over to Jade Seah who was standing at the other end of the coffeeshop.
Between, us , stood Russell and his table of the other chuch youths.

oh, i was on my way to get something to eat from the stalls then, i saw Jade Seah, and walked a lil nearer to her, but not beside her, and we were having girls talk, then, i asked her about the ice cream like :" so is the ice cream nice? "

and frequently, russell, standing at his table while nobody else were, would intrude into our conversation and add some comments (bcos in my dream he liked Jade Seah).
So half the time, me and jade Seah were chatting and rolling our eyes(cos russell was too irritating).

anw, the pictures are from like 4 days ago.When Yuping, her boyfriend-yanghao and her boyfriend's friend and I , went to town.We went k-boxing and then for dinner at Cafe Cartel-Cineleisure(afterall, kbox is at cine too). And yea, heard from Yuping that her boyfriend's friend is filthy rich from navy. i think. ehhhh..then, k-boxing was quite okay la. glad that i wasnt caught smuggling mos burger into the room.HOHO.
they kinda felt that i brought outside food in, so they kept walking pass our cubic. But i was smart to put the bag of mos burger goodies into another plastic bag- xxx bookshop.(which i got from some book fair opp somersert mrt).Dunno why they dont wanna walk in and check the food leh?

then, there was another thing frustrating. The waitress was really quite bad in her work. She came with the bill that stated that we ordered 2 bowls of soup. But we actually wanted only one. So, we told her to take the soup back and change the bill. But, she was clueless and didnt quite understood what we said, so she came back and forth a few times off our table(even thoug we explained to her agn everytime she comes).quite irritating.She didnt look flustered but she looked really blur. aiyo, maybe i can try working there, and help out.

We walked about orchard,watched abit of soccer now and then at Indochine , played lan -battlefield(oooh! fun!) for some hours , then headed to hongkong Cafe heeren for some midnight snack at bout 12.

So yeap, finish at bout 1.30 then mummy came to pick me. I was initially thinking tht my mum could come pick me and my bro(he was somewhere downtown too), but my brother busy watching socceerrrrrrr and playing lan.(think there was some impt match going on. when you walk pass town, you can see people crowding round or staring at any television they can find) Then know what? he came home at 7am. craziness la. he's crazy. haha.Plus,he has to go study the nxt day k.

LOL. i've was fascinated by the metal pole in the lift. WHY IS THERE A METAL POLE IN THE LIFT?WAD IS IT FOR?FOR POLE DANCING? This lift was the lift from the industrial park building that we went to bcos auntie Grace wanted to bring the portable toaster/oven thingy for repair.

The next destination after bringing the oven toaster for repair. Sadly i forgot what's the place called. The place was really quite boring cause there was nothing really interesting happening there(the fishing ponds would only open for public use on sunday).HOWEVER, the only thing that aroused us were the scenery and the "look like jackfruit but not jackfruit" tree that was behind the huge mini river/canal. Grandpa and aunties were aroused by the tree. lol.not me though.

People fishing for prawns at this small pond. But when the water is so full of algae, how do we even know if there are prawns in it?

Then, i realised why.

Someday afew weeks back, Haopin, Russell,Yuenyun and me went for a steamboat dinner at bugis. and I LOVE MA LA STEAMBOAT!~ i feel like eating now agn! So , the picture below is our post-dinner dessert, Mango Sago. REALLY GOOD. Initially, i felt that it was too sweet and alittle artificial with the artificial mango syrup, bt, after a few mouths, i think, there isnt any.
Aiya, i cant explain, but if you happen to hang around bugis, you can go there for yummy dessert. The place i think is often patronised by teens (as i've seen that day) price is quite reasonable !(3.50 for the bowl below and 2 bucks for honeydew Sago) =)

So i was standing behind him trying ta look for my magazine and then he noticed me so he hurriedly placed the magazine back to the rack. SO FUNNY CAN. bt, i acted like i didnt see him looking at those magazines la. So at least it wasnt so embarrassing for him.

so like me, Yuenyun, Kok Ching, Uncle Mel , Auntie Cheryl, Audrey , and Kelly went to Maxwell Hawker centre for lunch. (i ate super delicious fried fish noodle soup.)

Renee , Leo and peeps couldnt join us cos they had worship team meeting with unce Vic so we went first.

Thereafter, me Kelly ,Yuenyun and Auntie Cheryl went to Bukit Merah library for a short ten minutes and then left to meet Leo and etc.. at church.

then, we went to secretrecipe at i think Henry rd. for some yummy cake and fruity iceblends .Leo's choc brownie with ice cream was GOOD. and the choc banana cake was GOOD too.bt i personally didnt like my cheesecake. still love coffeebean's! xD

So i slept till 2+ , 3 and cleared my hammy's stinky-oh-cage.

Yesterday went bugis with Yuping agn.
she went to change her jeans and we had brief shopping arnd bugis street.
and i bought 2 tops!

i need a shopping bag/outing bag!
(ahem...give me as belated birthday present also can )

Then, we met Sock Hoon for dinner.
Initially me and Yuping didnt wanna eat so we accompanied Sock hoon to Food Republic.
Bt then, haha, me and Yuping shared a plate of hokkien mee.

Sockhoon's curry rice looked SO GOOD.
actually, it tasted GOOD too.

so yea, blabla...
we chatted and reminisced abt the old school days etc. although not much.
I was actually quite tired the whole time we were at orchard.
Oh ya, forgot to say that we arranged to meet Sock Hoon at Orchard.

Then, we went window shopping ..

We saw this girl who from far looked like a pretty lil barbie doll.bt after looking at her close up, she looked like SADAKO!
ohman. IT was like SSSOOOOO freakkkkky.
Seeing her pictures at the bottom's quite freaky too.
The eyes in the picture felt like they're gonna open and look straight at me!
ahhhhhhhhhh!

The lady's really fair and she has this perfect figure ,petite lips and nice nose.
BUT HER EYES, MAN .... , HER EYES WERE LIKE HUGEEE.
SHE LOOKED LIKE CHUCKY'S WIFE OKAY.(sorry for being mean)
BT yea, i could see that she went for plastic surgery and slitted her eyes open luh.
her eyes looked fake and they were worse than Dawn Yang's!
Can you imagine her eyes occupying half of her small face??
and PLUS, she stuck on fake eye lashes and drew eyeliner.
So, she really looked like a barbie doll.(BT FROM FAR)

And while me and Yupng were on the train, we were mean, haha.
we kept toking abt her and we were like SO scared of looking into her eyes or standing near her.
I think she knows too that she's attracting alot of attention so most of the time, she's fiddling with her ipod or looking down at the floor. She seems a lil self conscious though. Poor thing , she was so perfect! except for those eyes.

And at those times, she wasnt head down, she raised her head and quickly browsed arnd the train with her BIG eyes. AND UNFORTUNATELY, I CAUGHT HER EYES A FEW TIMES!

HER HUGE EYES STARED AT MINE LIKE SADAKO LOOKING AT YOU.

omgoshh... so scary!
i had to nudge Yuping (cos i was scared)everytime she looks and Yuping was scared too. HAHA.

HEADACHE . HEADACHE . HEADACHE
having stupid headache now.

yesterday went to see doctor at bout 8plus.
mummy sent me to ang mo kio medical clinic to see da clinic.
Both of us saw the doctor.
and the doctor was soooooooo slow.
seeing each patient took him like half an hour averagely luh.
clinic opened at 7pm and ended at 10.
we sat ,waiting for the doctor till the the clinic was gonna close you know. the lights were already dim!
so exaggerating rite! and our queue number was onli 7!
wad the....
when it was me and mummy's turn, we found out the reason.

the reason was that the doctor acted like a nurse too. He started to explain to us abt the medicine , what time and how many to swallow(which is the counter nurse' job) per day etc..
and he took a long time to hear my heartbeat when he pressed his stethoscope on my back.

AND everything was because of HER LAAAA.
spread the sickness to me.
keep asking her to cover her mouth when she coughs bt DONT LISTEN.
first few times cover but nxt few times dont, and worse. SHE COUGH LOUDER AND mouth opened WIDER. hahah. mummy laughed when i imitated the way she coughs. (mouth open wide and cough like gonna die soon)

I was SO rite when i said that my sorethroat would lead me to a big stage of illness.
My sickness started from sunday morning and it lasted even till now.
URGGH.
slept the whole day for the past few days ,making me not able to get out.
URGGGH x a million.

and my throat is KILLING ME.

typing this out is making my head ache even more and my eyelids heavy.
i think its the pills .. doctor said my medicines will make me drowsy.

okay. i cant take it alrd.

IM feeling so cold but yet warm.

So she coughs as she walks and the whole house is filled with her flu BUG!
omgosssssshhh.
Even my brother has gotten the flu bug!

my body feel so weak.
My throat's so itchy i feel like CUTTING IT UP.
So like i can hear her coughing agn in the room.

SIGH. and im having my auntie now.
SO I had abit of PMS and my body felt so weak the whole day.
and i didnt talk much.
When im not feeling well i dont really like talking.
and when im sleepy too. (:

actually he's not ugly at all luh. He's just goofy.Goofy till nobody wanna take him sriously.But ,he's the entertainer of our school leh! singing in front of all the sec 4s and 5s in the middle of the hall(when nobody asked him too ) .haha.

Today went to NYP's block L , level 5, then to block A's stdent admin office.Then, went home to get cca's report then went to photocopy, then went back to school , then queue up agn, then waited for half an hour (cos i sign in online somehow so the admin staff hlped me sign up for online application), then gave them me documents , then went home.

So like i took 4 trips to NYP and back home , through and fro. was kinda draining.So i was really tired and jst flopped on the couch. and then there was just 15 mins for me before I leave for church! hais.tired. Didnt wanna go to church initially, cos my eyes were droopy . I would be sleeping in church even if i went! However, Thank God!. Kelly's mom called. so i had like an hour to rest. yay :)

LALA thinks he/she's so HOT and claims that she/he just has confidence when he/she's downright in self denial.
In fact, she/he's lower than average in looks and in character. And LALA was boasting to me about how hot she/he is and that many of the opp sex is attracted to him/her.

Sometimes i just wanna tell him/her ." Can you get a hold on yourself and not be so desperate? people just say you're nice bcos they respect you , and they may not want to hurt you or they understand humility (bt hey, when you do some actions or say some things not to hurt someone, can you do it so the person you're doing/saying it to will not discover it. If not, the hurt you give is double the hurt you do not want to give .And if you show it on purpose, you're a hypocrite.)

Yea, so ,over confidence leads to self denial.

Bcos LALA 's SO in self denial, he/she'll think "WHATEVER."

Praise is good.
Its the showing of the appreciation you have of him/her .(and also that at least you have a heart)
But too much praise makes someone overly-conceited and results in too much confidence.

So what do we do? Do we praise or do we not?

Things are SO complicating. (if you think about it.)( But maybe you should not , so that you wont kill too much/many(can brain cells be counted?afterall, they're particles) brain cells .hoho)

What i suggest, is , everyone be humble! and not be over confident including LALA.
And if everyone is humble, LALA will not have to worry that, she's too humble that other's are stepping over her. Because everyone would be humble and everyone would be equal . yay!

Have confidence in yourself ! bt do not think others are worse than you.(maybe ,its a fact that other's are worse than you, but have a heart and dont make it obvious.If you sincerely want others not to feel bad and you're not acting it out, its not hypocrisy! =D )

So, simply to put it, do not show your over-confidence (which also results to proudness) in action or verbally to others. Just have the mentality that " hey, we're both HOT " or "Hmms. he/she's not HOT in fact, bt,hmms i shall not hurt her/his feelings, so, i shall think we're both HOT or not say anything mean or be mean on purpose at all" or just say " you're HOT " in yur goodness of will. (okay. this paragraph is SO NOT simply to put it.bt aiya. diff to explain mah. )

DAE application to RP done. YEAY.

yesterday went out with Yuping.
and we dug alot of cheap good clothes!

muahahs.

jeans could be found with the price of 20.
and they're quite good quality jeans okay.
and and! there were nice tops at costs 10 and 16 !
super cheap!

learnt alot from Yuping man.
like the comparing of prices and looking out for clothes hidden at the corner
( i discovered that her eyes are really sharp (: )

It goes that ,
Yuping wanted to buy this light blue jeans.
and we both saw one at 32 bucks.
then i was :" hey, cheap leh , buy la?"
then she said something like :" nono, expensive! we go shop and see around summore , surely have cheaper ones"

and after we walking about some hidden alleys,
we saw an identical pair with the same brand selling for 20buck!
holly molly!
20 bucks okay!

levis jeans hundred+ okay .
and the jeans we saw were about the same quality as levis jeans !
so yea, Yuping saved 90+ for a pair of jeans that has about the same quality as levis jeans.

went out with Germainy today (:
mainly just window shopping.
oh! and we watched The Pursuit Of Happiness .
It was just a simple slow movie of how Chris Gardner overcame his obstacles regarding bills, being penniless at a point of time and having alot of persistent in many things .
In total, it was a good movie =D not bad and also not fanta-bulous .
But the part where Will Smith was crying in the toilet with his son in his arms, was SOOO touching!and the part when he finally got a job was SO touching too!
really salute Chris Gardner luh!
He had onli a few tens of dollars to live by with.
He had to pay rent, had to find a job. and sell some machine(watch and you'll know! [:)thingy that supports him the next few months .(the more he sells the more money he and his son'll get to live by )

and Will Smith's son(Will smith's real son acted as Chris Gardner's son in the show) is SO CUTE!
as in he has a cute face and he said some cute and funny riddles!

I HAD photoshop but when i wanted to use it, it expired!

more about what i did the past few days..

LAST SATURDAY.
went out with Yuenyun for some shopping.
asked her if she wanted to shop.
cos you know.... havent been out for a week before the shopping other than brother's burfdae.(bcos i needed to spend time at home researching more on the courses and preparing for my interview and stuff.)

aniwaes.SATURDAY morning i went ta NAFA for drawing test.
oooo..and i saw alot of HANDSOME BOYS!
but that's not the point la.

The point is , i was SOOOOO NERVOUS.
Thankfully,once i entered the art room,a girl smiled at ME :)
and started to talk to me :)
she was also a student taking the drawing test.
i think there were 11 classes.
and each room were to accomodate about 30 students i guess.
but apparently, she was the only one in the art room.
i was like really shocked cos she smiled right even before i looked straight into her eyes.
so YEA !
i made an acquintance.

The anxiousness was there before i started the test.
but as soon as i started, i kinda got calm which i believe was all thanks to God :D

My brother sent me a sweet msg coincidentally right before my test starts.
which is :"Haha.. Dun worry..You can do it .. :) "
AND AND,i think that NAFA's test is SOOO interesting!!
they wrote in the requirement document asking us to bring ..

-14 inch ruler
-pencils
-black pens
-pen knife/cutter
-paint brushes
and what nots..
Oh.. and..Magazines!

when i read the paper, i was like "-.-" ....
must they tell us what to bring? think they primary sch and we're primary school students ah? NYP also never tell us what to bring. They just told us to bring pencils and the neccessary stationery that we prefer using.

and why ask us to bring 2 to 3 magazines?take it to be the safety layer for the table before we ppaint or take the magazine pages to wipe the table??
weird luh!

So yea, i was SO wrong and the answer was quite astonishing FOR ME.

THE MAGAZINES WERE FOR US TO DO CUT-OUT COLLAGES! i LIKE! =DD

I think its SOO creative of them kaes!
unlke, NYP,...... they just ask us to draw hands and draw a picture out of the weird shapes which were already printed on the paper.quite increative i think.

i think i did quite well with the still life part. :)
afterall this area is my forte !

had to buy a belt for brother's belated brthday.

And at the end of the day, I GOT A BELT!
i just tot it looked nicer than the rest,and i think its cool. so i bought it!

LAST SUNDAY
thankfully i had a lift from Auntie Christine(actually it was Uncle Kim san haha cos auntie christine cant drive) to church.
Church was hmmmms.
to be honest, i wont say its good .
And its bcos i couldnt concentrate the whole day.

AND HELLO, ppl couldnt concentrate you cant blame right.
i tried to concentrate and i prayed to God to help me concentrate okay.
but i still couldnt concentrate somehow.

i was hearing Uncle Vic(pastor) talk but my mind couldnt stay on track for a few minutes.It started to run about, and i thought abt alot of things. just random things. like

: why is this like that? isit true? why is this like that like that? why did i even think its like that?"haha yea.

then after church,
i skipped the movie PROTEGE
wasnt really interested in it alrd.
onli wanted to watch THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS in mind.
haha! =x
onli wanna watch something light hearted and i dont like fighting shows.(shows with ALOT of fighting scenes )
unless its infernal affairs which has a good story plot.

Yuping had free wildwildwet tickets , so we headed down to www!

WHEE! day was really quite FUN although there werent alot of ppl.

anyhoos, we could haf the park all TO OURSELVES.

There were HOT bodyguards that were tanned like indians.

hoho.

And while we were at the tsunami pool having fun, some boys came over and asked if we could all like play together.hahah! weird and "eee". Then there was one time whn we were all bobbing on the strong waves, one of the guys floated nearer to me. So i gave a "eee" face and kicked him and his float away.haha! even his friends laughed. When they asked us the second time to play , we hurriedly left the place =X

then, we went to the other side with the children playground.and they were like there too.i dont know if they followed or what bt they went there after we went there and they were looking at our side.Then,we left the place agn.haha!and we went to play the slides =D whee. :)

it felt super weird luh. but then , i think they know we 're avoiding them so they didnt wanna make friends alrd. HAHA!

day overall was FUN :) then we had KFC for dinner. i tell you i was SOOO hungry. lol.we played and ate till WWW closes. which is 7pm . we were the last one sitting at the bence eating .haha .BUT! i dont care! cos i ws SO HUNGRY FOR KFC! xD

The journey back by bus was all sleep for me.:D Plus, i had Yuping's ipod music which made it even easier for me to slp :) We were both in deep sleep at a point and our heads tilted towards each other until our heads almost banged one other . so funny!

OH WAIT! i forgot to talk about sunday night.the night before www.

I HAD OPPRESSION from the devil.NOT DEPRESSION, OPPRESSION.

tough night i had.

mummy was sick, and i sleep on the same bed as her nightly. So , that night, she asked me to wear that mouth mask thingy for fear that i have be affected by the cold germs. So yea, it was SOOO uncomfortable. and tough to breath!

I had a really bad dream about IT. and if you were beside me, i believe you'll be totally freaked out !

When i gt out of my dream..i was so OVERWHELMED by it, i tell you, i was SHAKING. its quite scary mentining it now actually. im always turning and seeing whats behind me.GOD PROTECT ME.i can still remember the dream VIVIDLY you know? (which was quite hard to come by.)

SO yea, i was shaking REALLY. IT WAS MY FIRST TIME. and i didnt watch any ghost movie of anysort. i was just peacefully sleeping thinking about the WWW trip tmr.

i was scared ,but i didnt voice out. i CONTROLLED. i gathered all my strength(remember i was shaking)trying to pluck out my courage (as told by auntie joyce , dont mention you are scared. be brave)

SO, closing my eyes, opening my dry mouth, i made myself sing Christian songs. Singing was hard initially. and i was shaking as i sang. My voice trembled on my first note.Then, i sang louder and louder,trying hard to articulate my words the whole time.After singing for about 15 mins, my voice started to get clear. MY heart that was thumping like a train initially, started to beat normally. I was then, able to be calm.THANKFULLY.

I sang and sang. All the while trembling and with a fast beating heart , for i think 30 minutes to 45 mins. I sang all the songs i could remember ,Jesus We Enthrone You, If The Sun Sets You Free You Are Free Indeed.Jesus, Lover Of My Soul and some others ,repeating the songs many times. Tears started to roll down my cheeks profusely. I was sobbing as i sang. choking on my words a number of times.

Then that poopoo mummy, woke up and said " dont sing alrd la" . She's so inconsiderate LUH!

ERRRRGGGH. i was singing as i was crying okay! and it was quite obvious that i was shaking.

but she's ALWYS LIKE THAT! NOT THINKING ABT OTHERS! like when she said " you stress wad stress, i shold be the one having stress rite. " SHE DOESNT WANNA KNOW THAT HER KIDS ARE STRESSED TOO.SHE JUST WNTS OTHERS TO KNOW THAT SHE IS STRESS.ALWYS TRYING TO GET ATTENTION.

then, yea, i stopped singing. from nervousness becoming to calmness and then to ANGER.bcos of that inconsiderate mother. I was the one wearing the mask for her okay. She 's sick, she should be the one wearing so that OTHERS DONT GET SICK. BUT I DONT WANT HER TO GET UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN SHE SLEEPS SO I WORE IT INSTEAD. and this my dear, is being considerate.

so i slept being angry in the end. with the stupid mask still on!

although didnt get to go shopping yest with lyds,
it was a great day yest. =DDDD

and i spent quite alot of money on just , STUFF.
First,
i took a cab to NAFA to register for my course which costed 10 bucks
(entry test is on the 3rd of mar for FYI. SOOO SOON! hummpf.)
then i went to meet mummy at little India .
i bought super nice bangles for 9bucks at this nice shop near peace centre.

super nice shop that caught my attention instantly

i bought the blue ones. :]

and i went to do waxing (for 45 bucks)!
at the usual threading place me , sherri, dora and yingying used to go.
HOHOHO!
I did of course NOT brazilian waxing. just full leg waxing.
yeapity yeap.

and now my legs feel like BABY SKIN!
muahahaha! :]

I tell you. the first few tears of the waxing strip was like PAINFUL!
It felt like were many ants biting on your legs.
and they were BIG ANTS.

bt then, as it goes on,
you kinda start getting immuned to the pain and its not painful animore.
In fact, it started to get quite shiok!(cos of the warm wax on my skin)
lol.
the indian (pretty okay! great facial features with acute brow-bone and deep-sunken eyes. )

The lady first spreads warm wax(not candle wax! but some oily,sticky,smooth brown wax) on your legs,
places the white strip thingy on the wax and...
CHHAAAA! the leg hairs are pulled off.
lol.sounds horrific. and LOOKS horrific too !
lady was nice :) i was so nervous at first bt she like spoke words that calm me down.

the ma la huo guo was goood.

and it seemed like only me and daddy knew how to eat it.

my mummy and brother kept saying its so "MA"(tongue-numbing) and spicy hot that they're not gonna eat it again.

but i couldnt get enough of it!

the whole secret to eating Ma la huo guo is to NOT eat the numbing-pepper-seed-like-pieces!

mummy kept eating that and she kept complaining that its so numbing.

"thats bcos you're not supposed to eat the seed! " i told her.

and the seed are NOT normal pepper seeds.(mummy kept insisting they are)

i've tried eating normal pepper seeds , and they are not.

they are in fact the sichuan pepper corns.

So yea,
after eating,

we headed home early. (cos daddy had to do his project work and my brother wanted to study*yea.so guai huh? only these few days study lor. the other days were just DOTA.)

and then , i fell asleep.

..once i reached home.

Just finished checking out NAFA(Nanyang Academy of Fine Art)'s website.

SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOODD!.

Yuenyun, Renee,Leo and Joshua Chua and I went to watch Dreamgirls after church.
For musical lovers, DREAMGIRLS is such a MUST WATCH! (not trying ta say church is not a must come of course.)

We sat at the first row for your information! (It was uncomfortable but COOOLL luh. cos it was my first time sitting on the first row.ahah! though its nothing to be "cool-ed" about .haha! -.-"

can you see how far our legs went? and our a*ses were on the edge of the seat/.

Yuenyun and Joshua who sat on my left/.

unglam me and mary (my row of teeth.named my teeth mary a long time ago if you really pay attention. gladly, Yuenyun remembers :) i got reminded by her that i named my teeth mary.lol.

distance between my legs and the movie screen. neck super -uber aching den.

Dreamgirls is like a LIVE MUSICAL la! but on screen .

I tell you,
Dreamgirls was SOOO GOOOD , it started to get boring at the second half of the movie.
cos, the girls sang SOO WELL in every song , they reached every high note( of course only done with many many retakes in the recording studio) , reached every climax of the song , and accompanied the singing with such real (acted real) emotions that the movie became boring.

BUT! boring in a good way.
cos every song throughout the movie is SO GOOD!
so good ,so good, so good, ..= boring.

And if you're gonna watch the movie soon,
you'll have to look out for this scene(you may not even have to look out bcos you will also agree that that scene is so GOOD.) where Jennifer Hudson stood alone on stage and sang with such immense emotion about her boyfriend aka managrer leaving her (in respect to their relationship and her singing career).SOOO good. SOOOO GOOD.

This afternoon was supposed to go play badminton with Leo and guys.
ahah.
but i was such a pig and the thought of having to travel to clementi made me very indecisive.
lols.
i didnt really decide not to go.
but when yuenyun called,(early wakeup call)
(i dont even remember if i answered or not!.)
i smsed her saying i wont be going.

LOL!
and i smsed her in quite an unconscious state of mind!
so i was quite unsure about what i was typing.
so yea,
when i woke up (which was a bout a few hours later)
i was like :"aiya! why did i say i wasnt going! big poopoo!"

Then,
at about 9pm+,
while i was browsing the web trying ta read up information about the different courses,
DARYL LOW CALLED!

he kept forcing me to go to the DXO party. :)
said go for him and all that..he's such a joker luh.
Lyds also kept asking me to go.
I sort of said "ok la, later, later, later i go kae" :)
But then i was busy and stuff reading up and comparing the different courses so

THUS, just smsed lyds saying that i wont be going alrd.

overall was quite a fun day (:

i think the best of all i have eaten.
i dunno why bt its super crispy and there's no bitter taste lingering in your tongue which the other wantons frm elsewhere does.
And besides,
the set is quite reasonable!

This morning i went to Bishan CPF service centre to get my singpass.

and when i was on the way there,

daddy called and said he found my singpass letter in mummy's drawer.

But hello! the website didnt say anything about the dateline ending yest(tues)!

was supposed to meet Shao, Yuenyun and Aud at Shao's place at 9.

but apparently i couldnt make it.

which was also quite sad and quite relieving.

Next,

Aaron called and ask me to go for dinner and shopping with him and Shiying.

We were actually deciding to go out together alreadi the day before, Shiying, Aaron, Yuren and Me.(genghui couldnt make it)

but then, decision could not be finalised.

So aaron called me this evening and we decided to like slack/shop in town.

Time spent was fun though!

Thur's badminton session was good. I did exercise that managed to make my body ache, after a

LONNNGGGGG time! :)

we played till bout 6+ before we headed to have dinner at Botak Jones..
then we headed to Shao's place for a game of mahjong (not involving token or money) and SLEEP OVER! but we talked awhile and then i gradually entered dreamland.

By the end of the day, i wanted to VOMITT. Stuff at chinatwn were just the same.. CNY decorative ornaments.. tissue box cover.. wine cover.. and many other goodies..

went to yeayeay church today. and then to Yuping's burthday celebration at Kbox.

AIYAAAYAAA!

this is wht you will hear echoing around the house if u're at my place.
then, you'll see a young girl holding her back like an old ah ma.

and that young girl is ME!

i've been sleeping almost the whole day yesterday.
cos had not been sleeping for 3days and 2 nights before yest.
and once i woke up from my sleep,
i've got MAJOR BODYACHE!
super major okae.
this is so much for me not exercising for quite some time.
BOOOHOOO~

even walking about my home was a chore for me can.
i had to hold my back , then slowly and carefully get out of the couch
with my "aiyaya/aiyoyo".
poopoo mummy will then be lying on her side of the couch laughing at me.
me: "HAHAH~funny ah?"..
mummy: "yes. you like lao ah em."(with cheeky smile)
me: " -.-"... "(turn and continue my slow and steady walk to the kitchen)

and now, monday 7:48am. i'm still having whole body muscle aches.
last night's tossing an turning in bed was also a chore.

lemme explain that eventful day of events - sat.

which lead to these side effects.

sat morning at bout 8am,

(all of us church peeps decided we would head to Bishan Park for a day of food n fun !)

(rollerblades and bicycles could be easily rented there.

8dollars for first hour and 4 for the subsequent)

started to prepared my clothes ,

bath and get ready.

then went to buy vegetarian beehoon

which was one of the items in the potluck picnic.

afterwhich ,

i met the other church youths for an early sport of rollerblading.

who were Yuenyun, Daryl, Audrey and Shao :)

We rollerbladed for 2hours.

Then i took a break and took care of the stuff.

while Shao and Aud continued blading and Yuenyun and Daryl went cycling.

However , my break didnt took longg ;((

cos soon after, Suching and Saun/Sean arrived with TOBY!!

So we brought the items,

(all the sandwiches,Beehoon and snacks) to our picnicing location.

About half an hour after munching on some of our food,

Edwin arrived.

and he started munching and munching .ahahs.

but this time, has a new munching friend, Daryl.

Thereafter,

some of the rest arrived..

and we played, rounders(something like baseball-mann..i hope i get a homerun someday ! =D),

and ultimate frisbee..

i like rounders the most =DDD

i didnt wanna leave actually,

cos we were having too much fun!

But then i left for Shiying's birthday celebration :)

me, aaron, genghui, and yuren celebrated for her at Marina South =DD

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOTTA(daughter)!

steamboat/ bbq was alright altogether.

but i LIKE the pepper chicken!

i wanna eat again!!

after our meal we left for suntec.

and we WALKED there.

why did we even think of walking huh?

after all the exercise at Bishan park.

for a few times i felt like chopping my legs off.

so yea, the 20 mins walk to suntec was quite fun except the fact that my legs were achinggg.

haha.

went we reached suntec engwah,

i just had to flop and sit on the floor.

legs too painful luh.

tough for me to explain my misery .

lol.

bt i didnt exactly mind luh.

cos it was my dotta's burthdae!

then..

we chatted ALOT.

and hung arnd suntec.

Then we went to Marina's 24hr Hongkong CAFE.

i slept there most of the time.

i bet aaron , shiying , yuren and genghui enjoyed their time there ALOT!

HAHA.

just got back from 3rd and last DMD interview at NYP.(yest's interview was postponed to this morning 10:50am
daddy accompanied me
and gave me great moral support :)

havent been online for 6 whole days!
havent been to msn and havent been to friendster.
havent gone out and havent eaten alot!
I havent gone out at all for 6 whole days okay!
(i missed matt's birthday celebration on wednesday.paiseh)
and i've gained weight!
havent been walking and excercising..

like alot! wanted to ~~pen down~~ type down all about my nervousness and
anticipation etc..
but i was partly lazy and partly cos i knoe if i start using the com , i cant stop.

And what's all these for?
For the sake of doing my 9 A3 sized art pieces!

So i had been staying up real late..
like until 6 am...
flipping through many many graphic books in search of inspiration..

and what's the result?
I COULDNT MAKE IT THROUGH THE 3RD AND LAST ROUND.
yeap. its true.
and my mummy thought i was playing a prank on her.
haha.

2 drops of tears rolled down my cheeks after i left the interviewing room.
i was super nervous in front of the 3 interviewee!
they asked many many questions
and i rocked my wheel chair left and right as i answered their question.
although i seemed and sounded calm,
my actions proved me wrong.
i bet they noticed my anxiety.

dont wanna mention much and pls dont ask me much.
i dont wanna prob about it and im nt gonna let it affect me.

HAIS.
so now i have to start looking out for other courses and start on my search for course AGAIN.
if they accept me i cant happily enjoy my CNY lor!
i can happily go out and celebrate lor!

IVE GONE THROUGH THE FIRST ROUND!

i've gone through the first round of portfolio interview
where i show them my previous art works.

But the female invigilator said that most of my art pieces are old.
(cos i showed her my artworks from sec 1 to now. HOHO!)
so she said she wanna see my present works bcos she wants to see the drawings that i draw now .as in NOW.
cos my sec 1 drawings, sec 2 drawings were yesteryear's affair and that my art skills could have deteriorated or something.so yea , the reason to see my present works(lol. i almost wanted to say "deprove" bt theres no such word x))

BUT then , i was thinking?
"how to draw? last year's IT studies was so tough and stressful and have project summore. where do i have the mood /interest and time to draw?
Now, i can totally understand my dad when he says he needs mood to draw.
and if u want him to draw instantly can luh, but then it will not turn out the best.

Nxt thursday would be the nxt and last round of test
and i would need to bring the drawings that they specified.
like 6 still life drawings and logo drawings etc..

actually i havent feel panicky(surprisingly) though there's just another 3 days left for me =P
i guess its the peace and calm God gave me and is giving me (:

and the next test is sure gonna be a TOUGH one.
cos many interested teens had gone for the DAE/JPSAE (portfolio interview)
and the slots for this course(DMD-digital media design) is only like 80 i guess.
the new graphic design course - Motion Graphics & Broadcast Design course only has 40 slots.
female inviligilator initially recommended me to take graphic design and it made me think
: "!!!!!! have to draw 6 pictures of grafiitti art??! have to draw modern and graphic art??i havent exactly tried leh!"
the graphic design course was really attractive cos i could do motion graphics for mediacorp and stuff like the "choose infocomm..." advert.
so i told her ,
"okay , i've chosen. i'll take DMD."

Honestly i really liked the motion graphics course?.. but i have no confident luh!
the most i ever did was some grafitti doodle! how in the world am i gonna bring new graffitti drawings for her the nxt day?
impossible luh. although she didnt mind seeing the doodles, how am i to compete to be one of 40 places? tough la..

So yea, i chose DMD!
i hope its the right choice and what God wants me to do .
